Referrals: How to earn rewards

Current status

We are currently processing referrals from 13 Sept to 15 Sept. Please be patient while we ensure that all eligible referrals receive their rewards.

NOTE! Some users may experience slight delays, but rest assured, all valid referrals will be rewarded.

How do you earn rewards?

Refer a Friend:
In your profile, click on "Refer a Friend" to share your unique referral code. Your friend must use this code when signing up to link your profiles and start the referral process.

Important: Users only earn rewards when referring friends who successfully sign up and complete all the required steps. Simply creating an account without using a referral code won’t qualify you for a reward.

Complete these steps
Once your friend signs up, they need to complete the following actions for both of you to earn rewards. Rewards may take up to 3 business days to reflect in your accounts once these steps are done:

1. Verified phone number

Your friend needs to verify their phone number by entering the OTP sent to their phone.

2. Make sure your friend successfully completed their identity verification

Make sure your friend completed the full identity verification on the app. You can check their verification status by viewing their profile, where it will clearly indicate whether they are verified. If the status shows "pending," this step is not yet complete.

3. Your friend need to add their currency accounts

To be able to start earning money and spending through Zeam you need to add your currency accounts.

4. Your friend need to make a transaction on the app

Your friend needs to complete their first transaction, such as sending money, buying airtime, or purchasing a voucher.

As Zeam grows, we adjust referral rewards based on the number of users. When we first launched, we rewarded early users with higher amounts—up to R100 each when we had only 100 users. However, as our user base expands (e.g., once we reach 10,000 users), we lower the earning amount to ensure we can reward more users while managing our budget effectively. This tiered approach allows us to continue offering rewards without the need to pause referrals.


We’re also excited to announce that more rewards are coming in the future! Stay tuned as we introduce new ways to earn through Zeam.
